In the trail of the Hathras case in Uttar Pradesh, another incident of gang rape has now taken place in Balrampur. After the gang rape in Balrampur, the rapists broke the leg and waist of the victim. She died during the treatment on Wednesday. Like the victim of Hathras, the UP police conducted the last rites of the gang-rape victim in Balrampur late night. Police have arrested two accused in the case so far.
There has been unrest in Balrampur after the death of a college student who was a victim of gang rape. On the complaint of the student’s brother, the police have registered a case of rape and murder on two people.
How did the incident happen?
The incident was from Majhauli village in Gansdi Kotwali area. A degree college student of Pachpedwa went to deposit fees for admission on Tuesday. On the same day around 7 pm, a rickshaw driver left the girl near her house in an unconscious state. The family started taking the girl to the hospital but, she died on the way. The family members alleged that the girl was abducted while returning from the college and was gang-raped in a room in Gansdy town.
Since this incident, unrest has spread in the whole area. Police have arrested two youths on the complaint of the student’s brother. The girl’s slippers have been found outside the room where she was being taken for gang-raping in Gansdi market. The rickshaw by which the girl was despatched to their house, was also found in front of the same house.
According to the information received from the police, the room in which the student was being taken for gang-rape was the room behind a grocery store. It was described in the complaint that the man running the grocery store was the mastermind of this incident. When the girl’s condition started deteriorating after the gang-rape, the youth called a neighbourhood private doctor for treatment. But the doctor refused to give treatment after seeing the lonely girl in the room. The doctor asked the youth to inform his family members.
