Petrol-Diesel from plastic waste is possible now

Petrol and diesel are becoming expensive day by day and people are facing tremendous financial pressure due to hikes of every commodity. At the same time, increasing plastic waste everywhere is spoiling the environment and the health of the common people. A team of technical people has gifted society with a solution where the production of petrol-diesel from plastic waste has been possible.

A machine has been installed by Gravity Agro & Energy in Kharauna of Kudhni, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. This company has also got a patent for their production unit. The unit prepares petrol and diesel from plastic waste. The unit was inaugurated by the Revenue and Land Reforms Minister of Bihar Government, Ramsurat Rai on November 2, 2021, Tuesday.

A team of youths from Muzaffarpur, Bihar prepared petrol and diesel from the plastic waste that was being thrown away and those plastic garbages had been polluting the environment.

On one hand, cheap petroleum products will be available with this step, on the other hand, there will also be a solution to the disposal of plastic waste. A team of 8 youths has started the work of making bio petrol and diesel from plastic waste at this plant. The team is headed by Ashutosh Mangalam, a student of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI Delhi). He has been accompanied by Shivani, Sumit Kumar, Aman Kumar, Mohammad Hassan, etc. He, along with his colleagues, had trialed this technology in 2019 and patented it in 2020 after getting success.
